Sharon loves that moment when teaching leads to an exchange of ideas where both the educator and participant are learning. Whether in a religious, secular, or informal situation - she loves orchestrating and participating in these uplifting, edifying conversations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with math and STEM endorsements from Utah State University. She has taught grades K-7, created literacy and numeracy differentiated programs for the local elementary school, and was part of the Utah Math Leadership and Coaching Institute. After 25 years of teaching she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. This diagnosis brought an abrupt end to her career in public education and is acting as a catalyst for current self-discovery and renewal.
